Event Details
The American Chamber of Commerce in Moldova held a seminar on the importance of implementing the ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) concept in business in line with the macroeconomic indicators set out in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The Republic of Moldova joins these global commitments, and some companies, especially transnational ones, have already initiated some ESG reporting processes as a gesture of taking responsibility for environmental, social, and governance issues.
An ESG report is an effective tool, but its use can be challenging, stemming from the need to comply with reporting requirements and balance information from different areas.
Monica Movileanu, partner and ESG leader of PwC Romania, and Dana Mihăilă Lucanu, director of PwC Romania, shared their extensive ESG experience, information, and practical tools needed by companies to face the challenges in this process.
In this context, Cristina Tiscul, project manager at the Foreign Investors Association (FIA Moldova), provided participants with a practical guide for ESG integration and reporting in SMEs developed by the National Confederation of Employers of the Republic of Moldova (NCEM) in partnership with FIA Moldova.
The seminar "ESG Reporting: Practical methods for competitive and sustainable business" was organized by AmCham Moldova in partnership with CNPM and the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitization.
*This event took place within the project of the International Labor Organization, "Stimulation of the Green Economy in R. Moldova".
